Position: Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Drives insights and initiatives from baseline work content that deliver real cost benefit; compares existing processes to industry best practices and company standards; anticipates future needs of the business and develops solutions to revolutionize the way the industry operates today. Manages and reviews the analysis of store processes by ensuring the accurate application of work measurement concepts (for example, predetermined time and attendance, motion systems and time study); developing and ensuring execution of an approach across a variety of complex operations/industries; using statistical analysis methods to identify anomalies and develop an approach to address seamlessly within the overall program; leading the development and analysis of process change impact on facilities, equipment, and personnel activities. Manages reviews utilizing quality control measures and provides feedback in order to ensure sustainability; ensures continuous development and adherence to an effective governance program; utilizes workforce management tools such as forecasting, scheduling, schedule management, real time management, reporting, and analysis to achieve set service goals such as schedule adherence, schedule efficiency, utilization and productivity targets.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, work measurement or related experience OR 6 years of experience in industrial engineering, work measurement or related experience
Skills Required: Must have experience with: developing volume and labor forecasting modules for configuring workforce management systems; managing labor model system for maintenance of labor standards, demand drivers and store characteristics; developing Engineered Labor Standards using Predetermined Time Motion Systems (MOST - Maynard Operations Sequence Technique); conducting in-store time and motion studies using stopwatch and video methods (Time Study Analysis); calculating labor impacts due to process changes and conducting cost benefit analysis (MS Excel); managing projects and programs involving process changes and labor impacts using project management tools (such as Smartsheets, MS Project); creating Process Flow Charts for process mapping and validation with business partners using diagramming software (such as Microsoft Visio); performing statistical analysis performing statistical analysis on labor standards inputs (such as sensitivity analysis); improving process efficiencies, ergonomics and associate experience using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (such as DMAIC, RCA, 5S); and creating Standard Operating Procedures using process maps and ensuring alignment with work expectations.
