PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Overview
Description
Assists Operations managers in the oversight, direction, and operation of multiple departments. Duties include the improvement, development, and supervision of production/processing of donated goods, Outlet functionality, as well as salvage and recycling operations. Works with all departments to increase
efficiency/productivity and decrease overall waste for Goodwill.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures work activities including vehicle and forklift operation are compliant with all safety standards; instructs/trains coworkers concerning safety expectations and requirements for workplace, e.g., cleanliness, organization of production area. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
- Assists in coordinating efficient operation of the plant including training and monitoring employees under your direct or indirect control, on specific SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) as outlined by department. Ensures processing occurs most efficiently, working with associates, to ensure materials are properly sorted, waste is minimized, and maximum diversion occurs. This duty is performed daily, about 35% of the time.
- Regularly analyzes work flow processes and recommends process improvements. Identifies and documents opportunities to improve systems efficiencies, reduce costs, or otherwise streamline existing processes to ensure rapid and efficient operations. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
- Communicates work schedules and manages work assignments (tasks, times, dates) for team members. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
- Perform inventory and warehousing tasks to timely provide for material needs for production and other departments. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
- Updates Production Logs daily and ensures logs are submitted to Post Retail Manager on-time weekly.This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
- Operates forklift and bailer to accomplish tasks. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Additional Information
- Must work a flexible schedule including some weekends as well as time to accommodate before and after hours vendor pick-ups.
- Warehouse operations experience that includes material handling, scheduling, planning for placement and movement of goods.
- Inventory management experience that includes documentation requirements/duties.
- Ability to operate a forklift and bailer.
- Demonstrate good customer service skills with outlet store customers.
