Job Title: Social Media Manager & Content Creator
Location: Fayetteville, AR (In-Person, Full-Time)
About Benton Lane
Benton Lane is a fast-growing family of e-commerce brands creating gorgeous home and gift products made in the U.S. Our portfolio includes Painted Paper, Aspen&Arlo, Lemon Park, Hillcroft Home, and more. We operate like a start-up: we move quickly, test ideas, use technology to work smarter, and give talented people room to make an impact. Our team is collaborative, ambitious, and always building.
Benton Lane is looking for a Social Media Manager & Content Creator who knows how to turn beautiful products, good ideas, and everyday moments into content people actually want to watch, save, share, and shop.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who has already spent a few years working in social media and content creation and is ready to take more ownership. You should be comfortable going from idea → shoot → edit → post, while also thinking strategically about what’s working, what we should test next, and how social can help grow our brands.
We’re not looking for someone who just wants to manage a content calendar. We want a creator at heart—someone with strong visual instincts, an eye for trends, and the initiative to make things happen.
What You’ll Do
You’ll help own the day-to-day social presence and content creation for brands across the Benton Lane portfolio. That means:
- Create content from start to finish. Concept, style, shoot, edit, write copy, and publish short-form video, photography, graphics, stories, and other social-first content.
- Own social channels. Help manage our presence across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels, keeping our brands active, relevant, and visually strong.
- Develop content ideas. Turn product launches, seasonal moments, trends, behind-the-scenes activity, and everyday brand stories into compelling social content.
- Get behind the camera—and sometimes in front of it. You should be comfortable directing shoots, capturing content on a phone or camera, and appearing in content when the concept calls for it.
- Edit quickly and well. Create polished short-form video and social assets without needing to hand everything off to another creative team.
- Stay close to culture. Pay attention to trends, creators, formats, sounds, and platform changes—and know which ones make sense for our brands.
- Test and learn. Experiment with hooks, formats, creative concepts, posting strategies, and new ideas. Look at performance and use what you learn to make the next piece better.
- Collaborate across the business. Work closely with our marketing, brand, and product teams to bring launches and campaigns to life.
- Help shape how we do social. Benton Lane is growing quickly, so you’ll have the opportunity to build processes, introduce new ideas, and influence what our social strategy becomes.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who has approximately 2–4 years of professional experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, or a closely related role. Agency, in-house brand, or similarly hands-on experience can all be a great fit.
More important than having the “perfect” resume, you should be able to show us work that demonstrates your taste, creativity, and ability to execute.
You’ll likely thrive here if you:
- Have hands-on experience creating social content for a brand, agency, or organization—not just personal or school projects.
- Have a portfolio or examples of social content you personally helped concept, shoot, edit, or produce.
- Are confident creating short-form video for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Have strong visual instincts and care about styling, composition, lighting, pacing, typography, and the little details that make content feel good.
- Can edit video and imagery using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar platforms.
- Understand that great social content needs to do more than look pretty—it should earn attention and ultimately help grow the brand.
- Can work independently and turn a loose idea into something real without needing every step mapped out for you.
- Move quickly, take feedback well, and aren’t precious about testing something new.
- Are organized enough to manage multiple brands, deadlines, shoots, and content needs at once.
- Are curious, resourceful, and excited to keep getting better.
- Experience in home, interiors, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, stationery, gifts, or another highly visual consumer category is a plus, but not required.
Why Benton Lane?
You won’t be joining a huge marketing department where your job is one tiny piece of the process. You’ll be close to the products, brands, creative decisions, and people building the company. You’ll have room to experiment, introduce ideas, improve how we work, and see the impact of what you create.
If you’re ambitious, creative, comfortable moving fast, and excited by the idea of helping build a growing family of design-forward brands, we’d love to see your work.
To apply, please include your resume and a portfolio, social accounts, or examples of content you’ve personally created.
