Position Summary
The role of Front Office Assistant in Employee Health reports directly to the Employee Health Manager. This position is responsible for managing administrative tasks, providing customer service, and ensuring the smooth operations of the front office.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees and visitors, greeting them warmly and assisting with inquiries.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, managing emails, and running mail and lab pickups.
- Assist in keeping the office clean and organized and monitor office supplies and resources.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and document preparation, including responding appropriately to medical records requests.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with all team members, vendors, and guests.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and government agency requirements, including adherence to HIPAA and PHI standards.
- Assist with other office assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Previous experience in an medical office environment, preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with call forwarding systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively. Strong ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail.
Work Environment: This position will spend 30% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 70% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
