Position Summary
The role of the Food Service Tech I reports to the Food Services Manager. This position is responsible for maintaining the kitchen area and equipment.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and patients.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, cafeteria, and workstations through general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
- Clean soiled dishes utilizing proper procedure and technique and store in an appropriate and safe manner.
- Sort and remove trash, place in correct area for disposal.
- Ensure quality and regulatory standards are met and maintained.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Licensure and Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience in a food service production area, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
