Position Summary

The role of the Office Coordinator reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for supervision daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth front office operations, including handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, managing filing systems, and providing support to staff and visitors. Responsibilities for this position involve multitasking, strong communication, organizational skills, proficiency with office software, and attention to detail.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, patients, guests, staff and providers in a positive and professional manner and communicate effectively, at times serving as the first point of contact.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties in an effective and efficient manner, including scheduling appointments, registering patients, collecting payments, verifying insurance eligibility, manage email and mail.
  • Ensure all documents are scanned appropriately into the electronic medical record system.
  • Provide information to interdisciplinary team, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Licensure and Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: Two years of previous medical office experience, required. Familiarity with medical terminology as well as various medical insurance carriers, required.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office setting and 20% of work time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
