Position Summary

The role of the Occupational Therapy Assistant reports to the Physical Medicine Manager. This position is responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of licensed occupational therapy staff.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Assist occupational therapist with patient care, as directed
  • Assist with maintaining records and patient schedules
  • Maintain department equipment including moving, disinfecting, and partnering with leadership regarding repair needs
  • Partner with department leadership regarding maintenance of department supplies

Qualifications

  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas OTA license and CPR, required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend up to 80% of the time standing and/or walking whole pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs and 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
