Position Summary

The role of the Application Architect, Clinical Applications is responsible for executing performance in clinical applications systems solutions and leads the standardization, analysis and development of solutions that achieve the highest value possible.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Technical and domain expert in all phases of applications systems analysis, design, implementation, and support.
  • Lead the solution architecture and analysis of enterprise-wide clinical information systems functionality
  • Develop application standards and practices for clinical applications
  • Lead the development of the clinical applications capability
  • Manage the clinical applications and application portfolio
  • Identify clinical applications capability gaps and works with stakeholders to develop strategies to address
  • Participate in industry workshops and studies industry trends related to clinical applications strategy and innovation
  • Collaborate across all technology teams to plan, design and deliver solutions
  • Serve as an advisor and mentor to team members across all IT departments
  • Monitor the regulatory environment and ensures that clinical applications meet accrediting standards for the Joint Commission, Quality, Promoting Interoperability, and other accrediting and governance programs
  • Develop release plans for clinical applications, including upgrades, new functionality evaluation and environment planning.
  • Manage and maintain communication through various resources and tools
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders and leadership
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to prioritize projects
  • Advise on proactive system monitoring for performance, response, and patches

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or clinical licensure, required.
  • Licensure and Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: Five years of domain/system build experience with at least three years of those as a senior level EMR Applications Analyst

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will spend 20% of the time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will require travel between Washington Regional campuses.
