Position Summary

The role of the Clinic Registered Nurse reports to the Clinic Manager in partnership with the Clinic Physician. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting physicians with procedures, and assisting with front office duties, as needed.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Collect and input patient vitals, medical history, and any patient medical information into the EMR system.
  • Prepare patient for a variety of procedures and examinations and assist physicians, as needed.
  • Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax, or phone as authorized and appropriate.
  • Assist patient with scheduling all necessary appointments, including schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled date to the patient.
  • Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician.
  • Serve as patient liaison and advocate, providing assistance and support for current and ongoing patient care needs, as necessary.

Qualification

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Licensure and Certifications: Registered nurse license and CPR, required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinic setting, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
