\nClinical Informatics Analyst
\nWashington Regional Medical System (the “System”) is our region’s only locally governed, community-owned, not-for-profit healthcare system. \nPosition Summary
\nThe role of the Clinical Informatics, Analyst I, reports to the Quality Manager. Provides consulting support for process improvement and patient safety event response for hospital departments. This position is responsible for coordinating aspects of planning, design, development, implementation of clinical information systems and analyzing and tracking outcomes and performance improvement.
\nEssential Position Responsibilities

- Plan, develop, and implement information systems for nursing and clinical departments. \n
- Design workflow processes to achieve maximum process efficiency and patient safety. \n
- Utilize knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer applications. \n
- Ensure the information systems are consistent with professional and regulatory standards of clinical practice. \n
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement automation improvement strategies to optimize overall patient care. \n
- Collaborate on quality and performance improvement initiatives with clinical departments. \n
- Participate in committees and workgroups to promote optimal informatics use and functionality for the hospital and/or ambulatory setting. \n
- Serve as one of the administrators of the Clarity Healthcare SafetyZone Portal \n
- Other duties as assigned. \n
Qualifications

- \nEducation: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or other clinical program, such as Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy or Dietetics. Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical field, preferred. \n
- \nLicensure and Certifications: Clinical license or certification, preferred. \n
- \nExperience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, required. EHR experience, required. Demonstration of proven expertise with hospital performance improvement processes, decision support tools and information technology, preferred. \n
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will spend 20% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
