POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, bathrooms, offices and other assigned areas. This position has exposure industrial strength cleaning chemicals, radiation, body fluids, and communicable diseases. The majority of work time is spent standing and walking (up to 80% of work time). Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 lbs (up to 20% of the work time) is required. Frequent pushing and pulling is required regarding the movement of medical equipment and the housekeeping supply cart.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Position requires the ability to interact in a positive manner with coworkers, patients, and their families. Must have a reasonable grasp of the English language to be able to read, write, and follow directions provided in English. Institutional cleaning experience is preferred.
