\nPosition Summary
\nThe role of the Lab/Rad Tech reports to the Clinic Manager. This position works under the direction of the physicians, mid-level providers, nursing team, Practice Transformation Team and Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care within the clinic and assisting with back-office duties.
\nEssential Position Responsibilities

- Provide radiology services in a safe and efficient manner as ordered by the physician and within the scope of the individual’s limited license \n
- Collect vital signs from patient and input data into electronic medical record system \n
- Collect specimen via blood draws and non-blood samples for laboratory examination \n
- Prepare patient for examinations and procedures including providing education related to service and obtaining consents, as needed \n
- Assist physician with in-office procedures, as needed \n
- Perform CLIA-Waived laboratory testing, as necessary \n
- Arrange and Schedule referrals to other providers/facilities while coordinating with insurance requirements if applicable \n
- Coordinate appointment details with patients \n
- Maintain medical logs according to policy/procedures established for the clinic \n
- Inventory and requisition supplies and instruments \n
- Properly clean and sterilize instruments using germicides, sterilizers and/or autoclave \n
- Set-up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms \n
- Communicate care needs/services with patient and/or their representative \n
- Answer phone calls and determine how to assist them \n
- Plan and modify care and implement interventions \n
- Provide correspondence to patients on quality metric needs and wellness reminders \n
Qualifications

- \nEducation: High school diploma or GED, required. \n
- \nLicensure and Certifications: Arkansas Limited License in Radiology, eligible with a Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomist, preferred. \n
- \nExperience: Previous experience with a clerical support role in a medical clinic, preferred. Completion of a medical assistant program, preferred. \n
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will be exposed to communicable disease and body fluids.
