SUMMARY

\n

The role of the Pre-Admissions Team Lead reports to the Pre-Admissions Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with training, motivating staff, and helping accomplish tasks and goals that may be given to the team at any time. This position will be responsible for supporting the daily job functions of Clinic Pre-Arrival and Hospital Pre-Registration and serves as a team liaison. This position will provide a leadership support role to the Pre-Admissions Manager. This position will spend 90% of work time sitting. This position will spend 10% or less of time standing and/or walking short distances.

RESPONSIBILITIES

\n

• Perform job duties of a Pre-Registration Specialist and support team members to provide quality patient experience in the preregistration process whether direct or indirect
• Responsible for new employee orientation - which compliments the education and training from the Revenue Cycle Training Team
• Maintain professional working relations with Physicians and Clinics
• Ability to understand computerized billing systems and software
• Responsible for keeping clinic assignments current and in good standing
• Adaptable and flexible with ability and willingness to assist in other areas as requested to support the needs of the organization and patients
• Ability to perform in an elevated function to perform necessary work requirements

Qualifications

\n

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Licensure and Certifications: N/A
• Experience:
      o Knowledge of insurance requirements, audits, and denials in a healthcare setting, medical           terminology, and CMS guidelines, preferred.
      o Call center experience, preferred
      o Strong computer skills with patient registration applications such as athenaIDX Centricity           Business and Excel, required
