Dialysis Centers of Northwest Arkansas (DCNA) is committed to improving the quality of life and providing the best care for patients with acute and chronic renal disease. We are looking for a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our team! The Dialysis Treatment Team consists of Board Certified Nephrologists, Registered Nurses, Dietitians, Social Workers, and Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians.

As a Patient Care Tech with Dialysis, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You'll be responsible for assisting the nursing staff in caring for patients. Duties include setting up and tearing down of dialysis machines, collecting vital signs of patients, initiating dialysis treatment with performance of veni-punctures, draw blood work from vein puncture as ordered, calculates fluid removal goal, monitors patient during treatment, terminates patient treatment per procedure, and informs licensed staff of any abnormal issues.

Requirements for this position:

  • CPR (within 90 days of hire)
  • \n
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certified within 18 months of hire
  • \n
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • \n
  • Successful completion of high school studies or G.E.D.
  • \n

No previous Dialysis experience? We have training to help you succeed.

The majority of work time is spent standing and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100 lbs., and carrying of up to 35 lbs. The patient populations served include: adults and geriatric patients. This position has exposure to body fluids and communicable disease.
