Position Summary

\n

The role of Brand Manager reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. This position is responsible for planning, managing, and executing marketing and communications plans to promote Washington Regional’s key service lines and support other organizational initiatives. The brand manager works collaboratively with internal team members, vendors, and external community partners to ensure all work is aligned with Washington Regional’s mission, brand standards, timelines, and budget.

Essential Position Responsibilities

    \n
  • Manage all Marketing and Communications Department requests from internal clients and external organizations, including obtaining all details necessary to fully understand the request, determining next steps and coordinating with the appropriate internal marketing team members, agencies and/or vendors to fulfill the request. Such requests might be related to advertising, sponsorships, signage, collateral, research, promotional items, etc.
  • \n
  • Plan and execute marketing and communications initiatives, including advertising campaigns, which promote Washington Regional’s key service lines while ensuring all content is in alignment with our mission, brand, timeline, and budget.
  • \n

    \n
  • Write and/or edit content for internal and external distribution; such content may be used for collateral, advertising, website, letters, reports, newsletters, press releases, meeting agendas, meeting summaries, etc.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Negotiate advertising contracts, maintain advertising calendar, and traffic approved content that meets vendor specifications and timelines.
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Work in collaboration with marketing team, internal stakeholders, vendors, and external community partners to plan and execute events, including external events promoting key service lines and internal events to drive employee engagement.
  • \n
  • Manage employee online store including vendor and product selection, coordination of order delivery, and inventory management and reporting.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term, collaborative relationships with internal clients and external community (community leaders, community partners and vendors)
  • \n
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • \nEducation: bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications or related field.
  • \n
  • \nLicensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, required.
  • \n
  • \nExperience: Candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience in marketing and/or brand management, media placement and working with outside agencies and vendors. 
  • \n
  • \nSkills: Must exercise sound judgement and have proven organizational, planning, project management, time management, prioritization, and customer service skills. Candidate must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team, and be able to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be fluent in personal computing software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and have significant experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position spends 20% walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
