Medical Assistant - Farmington Family Clinic

Washington Regional Medical System (the “System”) is our region’s only locally governed, community-owned, not-for-profit healthcare system. Position Summary

\n

The role of the Medical Assistant reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the nurse and front office with day-to-day duties.

Essential Position Responsibilities

    \n
  • Obtain patient vitals and input data into the electronic medical records system
  • \n
  • Perform any necessary CLIA-waive tests
  • \n
  • Clean room after patient use
  • \n
  • Ensure exam rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies
  • \n
  • Appropriately process soiled instruments
  • \n
  • Assist front desk with daily operations, as needed
  • \n

Qualifications

  • \nEducation: High School diploma or GED
  • \n
  • \nLicensure and Certifications: CPR, required.
  • \n
  • \nExperience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a previous medical assistant role, preferred.
  • \n
\n

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 pounds. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
