Position Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating the total nursing care of the Peri-operative patient including assessment, planning, implementation and documentation. The RN is responsible for delegating to and supervising the job classes of: Student Nurse Tech, LPN, and CNA/Unit Secretary. The RN assists in the orientation of new staff and clinical supervision of nursing students. This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation and communicable disease. The majority of work time is spent standing or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling and lifting of up to 100 lbs., as well as occasional carrying of up to 25 lbs. A variety of patient populations are served from infants to geriatrics.
Licenses/Certifications Required
Arkansas RN license, CPR
Specific Educational and Skill Competencies Required
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed to work in the State of Arkansas. This position requires the completion of moderate sedation competency and CPR. PALS is recommended.
