Clinical Coordinator

\n

The role of the CC is to be responsible for the coordination of clinical services with providers and nursing staff. CCs supervise all nursing staff including RN’s, ACNA, and monitor techs while functioning as a member of the management team. This incumbent must remain free from progressive disciplinary action.

\n

Distinguishing Characteristics

\n

Work assignment is generally unstructured and employee is responsible for assigning and supervising a variety of functions to achieve the objectives of the section, unit, or project. Duties performed involve weighing and evaluating factors requiring judgment, analytical ability, and problem solving.

\n

Contacts are of a non-prescribed nature involving the negotiation and resolution of problems. When exceptional degrees of discretion, judgment, and specialized knowledge are required, the CC must work to carry out the programs and policies of Washington Regional.

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations in running the floor; assessing available resources, patient and unit needs and coordinates care based on patient acuity.

  • Meets with staff, and administrative team on a regular basis to solve problems, improve quality and efficiency of patient care.
  • \n
  • Directs, coordinates, and participates in the professional nursing care of patients within an assigned unit pursuant to the objectives and policies, the nursing process, and established nursing standards.
  • \n
  • Strives to improve and facilitate patient care and satisfaction
  • \n
  • Assists in creating and implementing QI objectives in areas of nursing and patient safety
  • \n
  • Implements and interprets policies and procedures developed
  • \n
  • Act as an advocate in representation of all nursing staff
