Job Summary:
In accordance with A.C.A. 16-21-107 there is created a Victim/Witness Coordinator to provide technical assistance and support to all victims of crimes and their families and to witnesses to crimes who are involved in the criminal justice system, to establish programs intended to result in such support, and to provide a communication network for victim/witness programs.
This position is assigned primarily to cases involving victims of violent crimes and will be a resource within the office regarding the dynamics that are specific to these crimes and how they affect prosecution. The ultimate goal is to provide the information and support needed to ensure positive experiences with the criminal justice system, to assist prosecutors toward successful resolution of criminal cases, and to enhance community response to victimization.

Required Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required, this position is subject to pre-employment, random drug and reasonable suspicion testing and if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
