Job Summary:
The Technology Director under the general supervision of the Chief of Staff of the County Judge is responsible for the continued operation and maintenance of all Information and Technology concerns for the Washington County Government. The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the activities of the County’s Information Technology Department and align IT objectives and programs to the objectives and strategies of each Elected Official. This is accomplished by creating and organizing technology strategies, designing and implementing policies and procedures for the department, creating and developing effective teams, developing and submitting plans and budgets for review and approval, reviewing and advising on IT related purchases, and negotiating vendor contracts. The Technology Director also establishes the IT services framework for the county.

Required Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required, this position is subject to pre-employment and reasonable suspicion testing and if a promotional position, candidate must pass an assignment drug test.
