Position Overview:
We are seeking a Security Manager to join our team and help oversee security services across both Walton Arts Center and Walmart AMP. This key position will be responsible for managing in-house security staff, ensuring event-based safety, and maintaining security protocols that align with our customer service and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead the security staff in daily operations, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and addressing areas of concern.
• Coordinate security training initiatives such as drills and presentations.
• Develop and manage staffing schedules for all events, ensuring proper coverage and safety for each occasion.
• Liaise with police, fire, and medical personnel for event-specific needs.
• Create and maintain security protocols and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Hire, interview, and evaluate new security staff members.
• Manage payroll for the security team, ensuring accuracy.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and technical staff to meet guest and artist service standards.
• Recommend and implement updates to security policies and procedures as needed.
• Ensure positive security interactions with patrons, maintaining the organization’s customer service excellence.
• Manage 2-way radio systems, including maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
• Oversee metal detector equipment at both facilities.
• Act as a representative of Walton Arts Center and Walmart AMP at events.
• Contribute to the Safety Committee and assist with the Director of Safety and Security duties when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in corporate or event security, law enforcement, military, or emergency services.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse individuals.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and strong customer service.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and endure standing or walking for long periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in large, loud, and crowded environments.
