The Senior Manager, Claims Management leads the execution of strategic business initiatives optimizing claims operations and consistent outcomes. This role provides oversight of claims resolution, quality assurance, and vendor performance across a portfolio of states, including accountability for the Texas Non-Subscriber program. Leveraging strong program management capabilities, the role collaborates with internal and external partners to drive innovative solutions that grow efficiency, control costs, mitigate financial risk, and enhance client satisfaction within Walmart businesses. The TPA Operations team provides strategic oversight of a large Third-Party Administrator managing workers’ compensation claims across 14 states. The team drives accountability, consistency, and exceptional outcomes in a complex, high-volume environment. It includes direct oversight of California and Texas non-subscriber operations, requiring strong leadership and sound judgment to navigate regulatory and operational challenges. Team members collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance performance, improve processes, and ensure effective claims administration at scale. This team thrives on complexity, continuous improvement, and leading through change to deliver impactful results.
What you'll do...
- Lead execution of business plans by identifying operational needs, setting priorities, and removing obstacles to enhance performance.
- Provide strategic oversight and direction to third-party claims managers, team leaders, and examiners to ensure consistent delivery of claims outcomes and service excellence.
- Partner with Director, Claims Management on claims strategy and portfolio operational execution.
- Oversee claims disputes by evaluating files, coordinating with experts, and ensuring accurate settlements or denials.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to manage company exposure and structure complex settlements.
- Lead legal roundtables and claim reviews to drive resolution and continuous engagement across internal and external teams.
- Analyzing claims data, monitoring trends, and implementing innovative strategies.
- Extensive experience in claims resolution, processing, and investigations, with strong knowledge of workers' compensation regulations in California, Texas, and Washington.
- Proven leadership skills in managing teams, including training, mentoring, and influential leadership to foster a high-performing, collaborative environment.
- Expertise in project management and continuous improvement processes to enhance claims handling efficiency and compliance.
- Ability to manage and influence third-party administrator (TPA) vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret claims data trends and develop innovative strategies for risk mitigation and operational excellence.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
