Role Summary The Manager, Claims Management leads a team responsible for the effective evaluation, management, and resolution of general liability claims. This role drives operational excellence by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant claim handling while managing financial and legal risk and delivering a strong customer and associate experience. The Manager develops high-performing teams through mentoring, accountability, and performance management; provides technical guidance on complex and high-exposure claims; and uses data and insights to improve claim outcomes, processes, and operational efficiency. This leader collaborates across internal and external partners, champions change and builds future talent while ensuring execution aligns with company standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. About the Team The Claims Management team delivers fair, timely, and customer-focused claim outcomes while protecting the business and supporting associates, customers, and partners. Through ownership, integrity, collaboration, and operational excellence, the team manages risk and drives claims toward effective resolution. Our leaders build and develop high-performing teams, solve complex challenges, strengthen partnerships, and leverage data, technology, and continuous improvement to enhance claim performance and the customer experience. This is an onsite job, based in Bentonville AR. What You'll Do Lead & Develop Talent- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims professionals while creating a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Establish clear expectations and provide timely, actionable feedback through one-on-ones, claim reviews, performance discussions, and development planning.
- Identify performance and skill gaps, remove barriers, and create development opportunities that strengthen individual and team capabilities.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and other talent processes while building a pipeline of future leaders.
- Champion change and help associates successfully navigate evolving business priorities, processes, and technology.
- Oversee the effective management of claims from initial report through resolution, ensuring timely investigation, evaluation, documentation, reserving, and disposition.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic direction on complex, high exposure, escalated, and litigated claims.
- Monitor claim inventories, workloads, and lifecycle performance to drive timely resolution and prevent unnecessary claim aging.
- Exercise appropriate reserve and settlement authority while ensuring sound financial stewardship and effective risk management.
- Resolve escalated customer, associate, and business partner concerns while reinforcing a culture of ownership and service.
- Ensure claim handling complies with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, company policies, and established claims standards.
- Conduct claim reviews and quality assurance activities to identify risks, improve consistency, and strengthen execution.
- Partner with legal counsel and other stakeholders to develop claim strategies, manage litigation, negotiate settlements, and mitigate legal and financial exposure.
- Identify compliance or performance gaps and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
- Analyze key claims metrics, trends, and financial results to identify opportunities to improve claim outcomes and operational performance.
- Use root cause analysis and data-driven decision-making to address performance gaps and improve processes, technology, and workflows.
- Develop and execute strategies that improve claim resolution, customer experience, productivity, and total cost of risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to advance strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide leadership with clear insights regarding team performance, emerging risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Proven experience in claims management, insurance, risk management, or a related field, with strong knowledge of claims investigation, evaluation, resolution, and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while driving accountability and engagement.
- Strong technical judgment with the ability to evaluate complex claims, manage financial and legal exposure, and make sound business decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data and performance metrics to identify trends, determine root causes, and improve results.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across internal and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, navigate ambiguity, lead through change, and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to integrity, customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional designations, relevant industry experience, and prior people leadership experience preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
