Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Controllership, leads the oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. About the team:

The Walmart US Supply Chain Controllership team delivers essential accounting support and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting for the US segment. Operating within the Supply Chain organization, the team drives retail transformation by improving operational efficiency and financial precision. Members collaborate with business partners to analyze financial data, support audits, and maintain compliance with accounting standards. The team focuses on continuous improvement and innovation, contributing to Walmart’s commitment to value and service excellence. Strong skills in accounting, financial close, communication, and problem solving are vital to the team’s success.

What you'll do...

  • Manage the preparation and review of annual budgets for Finance and support departments, providing recommendations for final approval.
  • Oversee financial reporting, balance sheet accounts, and audits by analyzing data and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements through thorough review and evaluation of financial statements.
  • Lead multiple business plans and projects by identifying needs, setting priorities, and measuring progress to drive performance improvements.
  • Supervise and develop associates through mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluations to build a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to validate financial documentation and maintain reporting accuracy.

What you'll bring...
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, and financial statement review aligned with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proven ability to manage budgeting processes, including analysis, consolidation, and reporting for senior management decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting operations ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Expertise in overseeing financial audits, identifying discrepancies, and facilitating collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to drive business plans, measure performance, and implement continuous improvements.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
