Role summary:The (USA) Software Engineer III plays a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. About the team:
The F1 team develops advanced tools for sales forecasting and data pipelines supporting Walmart US operations with timely sales data. Collaborating closely with product and project management, the team designs and delivers scalable, high-quality solutions. Emphasizing continuous improvement and technical excellence, F1 applies iterative development, platform design, API creation, and debugging expertise. The team ensures reliable, efficient software delivery through strong documentation and testing practices, enabling seamless performance and timely completion of critical business projects that drive operational success.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to define high-level design and technical solutions for projects.
- Develop, write, and test code ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements, including security and scalability standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
- Lead and mentor small engineering teams, providing guidance on documentation, timelines, and technical approaches.
- Create and execute test cases, perform defect analysis, and support continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Monitor application performance, implement maintenance activities, and evaluate change requests for feasibility.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in software design, development, and debugging using object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java
- Strong technical acumen with expertise in API design, platform development, and component services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including requirement analysis, solution design, and delivery within Agile frameworks.
- Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and automation scripting.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable solutions to production issues.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical guidance to peers.
- Commitment to quality, security standards, and documentation-based coding practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
