What you'll do...
About the Role: Senior individual contributor product role that drives strategy and execution for a complex product or a small set of tightly related products. First IC level with formal influence beyond a single product, requiring strong stakeholder leadership without people management responsibility. Bridges deep customer/technical understanding with mature product leadership, owning end-to-end outcomes from discovery through value realization. Acts as a recognized authority within the product area, sets product direction, and elevates the discipline by mentoring less experienced PMs. Equivalent in scope and impact to Senior Manager, Product Management on the People Leader track. You have a curious mind and a can-do approach. You are able to chart a logical path through ambiguous, multi-objective situations. What you will do: This role will be responsible for products for pricing spark driver offers, driver matching algorithms, and driver incentives used to position and ensure driver supply in Walmart’s international markets. Objectives include ensuring a good driver experience, on time delivery, and optimizing cost per order. An ideal candidate will be analytical strong, and scientifically minded, as well as a good all-around product manager. Candidates should be familiar with machine learning, and ideally, with experimentation techniques. However, candidates without experimentation experience, but who have a good grounding in statistical basics and the scientific method are also encouraged. This role is focused on international markets, including Canada and LATAM, where you will look to leverage our global platform wherever possible, optimizing it for local markets as well as also solving for regulatory and market needs. Occasional international travel may be required. The position will be located in our Sunnyvale offices. What you will bring:Customer & Problem Understanding:
Builds deep, structured understanding of customer and business needs across a complex product, using design thinking, journey mapping, and operational/financial data analysis.
Establishes durable mechanisms for gathering and synthesizing customer feedback; transforms insights into prioritized, measurable problem statements with clear success metrics.
Designs barrier-free processes addressing customer pain points; sets the standard for discovery rigor within the product area and coaches PMs on customer-centric framing.
Anticipates unmet needs and reframes roadmap priorities based on forward-looking customer, market, and competitive insight.
Product Vision & Strategy:
Defines and owns multi-quarter vision and strategy for a complex product or set of related products, leveraging domain expertise, competitive analysis, and market trend assessment.
Builds strategies using Whole Product concepts and hypothesis-driven thinking; independently articulates problem statements, KPIs, and trade-offs that guide product direction.
Drives go-to-market strategy, adoption levers, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring product direction connects to broader business outcomes.
Evaluates build / buy / partner decisions and platform reuse opportunities to accelerate time-to-value and reduce duplicate investment.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Owns roadmaps for a complex product, from discovery to post-launch value realization, coordinating with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business partners.
Manages risk, dependency, and backlog priority trade-offs; defines clear acceptance criteria and rollout/scaling plans using MVP approaches.
Establishes performance measures, telemetry plans, and operating rhythms; navigates organizational and market constraints to deliver outcomes.
Mentors PMs on roadmap development, scope/quality/speed trade-offs, and rigorous launch readiness.
Data & AI:
Conducts advanced product and feature analytics by structuring data collection, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting prioritization based on insight.
Uses experimentation (A/B testing, rapid prototyping) to validate assumptions, de-risk investments, and inform product direction.
Identifies AI-powered feature opportunities; assesses feasibility, risk, and architectural implications in partnership with Engineering and Data teams.
Translates data into compelling narratives that influence prioritization and stakeholder alignment across senior partners.
Technology Depth & Cross-Functional Influence:
Demonstrates strong technology orientation across system architecture, services, data pipelines, and cloud capabilities for the product area.
Drives informed discussions with Engineering on feasibility, technical debt, and architectural choices; influences technical direction without direct authority.
Identifies innovation opportunities and recommends new processes, automation, and ways of working within the product area.
Models inclusive collaboration, accountable communication, and Walmart leadership expectations; builds trust across functions and levels.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and promoting a belonging mindset in workplace.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
