Role summary:As a Full Stack - Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support. About the team:
The Philanthropy Engineering team advances Walmart’s commitment to responsible business by developing cloud-native backend services using open-source technologies. Collaborating with engineers, UX designers, and product managers, the team delivers scalable, maintainable solutions supporting initiatives like disaster relief and community programs. Emphasizing technical expertise and innovation, the team applies agile methodologies and leverages skills in React-Native, React.js, Spring Boot, APIs, Java, and cloud databases. Members focus on producing reliable, efficient software aligned with business goals, enhancing community engagement through impactful technology and continuous improvement.
What you'll do:
- Own delivery of scoped features and components, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support within collaborative engineering teams.
- Adapt GenAI tools, write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Participate in solution design, evaluating trade-offs to build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with platform objectives.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Build app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes
- Monitor application performance and maintain system reliability through proactive DevOps practices.
- Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong experience delivering scoped features through collaborative engineering teams.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java.
- Design and implement user interface components for JavaScript-based web and mobile applications using React ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
- Skilled in code review, debugging, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- Ability to translate complex business problems into actionable technical requirements.
- Strong technical judgment with a focus on quality, performance, and customer impact.
- Effective collaboration and mentorship skills within cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
