Join Walmart’s Information Security team as a Software Engineer II, We are seeking a motivated individual to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. This role will contribute to strategic initiatives focused on identity modernization, automation, and user lifecycle management while gaining experience working within a large-scale enterprise environment.About the team:
The Workforce Identity Lifecycle Management (WILM) team manages the complete lifecycle of workforce identities, ensuring precise and timely account provisioning, updates, and deactivation. The team delivers automated identity services integrated with HR systems and supports platforms including Active Directory and cloud environments. WILM focuses on identity synchronization, automation, and governance to enhance data accuracy, reduce manual tasks, and maintain secure, compliant identity operations. The team’s efforts enable consistent identity data across the enterprise while providing essential access management and driving continuous improvements in identity security and operational efficiency.
What you'll do...
- Develop, test, and maintain IAM applications, services, and integrations under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support automated user provisioning and deprovisioning processes across enterprise systems.
- Assist with the development and enhancement of identity synchronization and data consistency solutions.
- Build and maintain APIs, workflows, scripts, and automation tools that improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in integration efforts involving identity providers, directories, HR systems, and enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, provisioning, and integration issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and deployment processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support materials.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver IAM solutions.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
- Experience developing applications or automation solutions using one or more of the following: C#, .NET, PowerShell, Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Understanding of APIs, web services, and application integrations.
- Basic understanding of databases, data structures, and software development principles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
