Role Summary: Merchant – Asian, Indian, Mediterranean & Kosher Foods Supports the growth of Walmart's multicultural food business by developing customer-focused assortments, delivering compelling value, and creating meaningful shopping experiences across Asian, Indian, Mediterranean, and Kosher categories. Partners cross-functionally to drive strategic initiatives, accelerate Marketplace growth, enhance the omnichannel customer journey, and bring culturally relevant solutions to customers and communities nationwide.   • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives, incorporating pricing, promotion, and channel decisions.
  • Manage profit and loss responsibilities, analyzing daily business performance to meet financial targets and optimize inventory.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, establishing terms, performance metrics, and communication protocols to drive profitability and price leadership.
  • Oversee customer experience initiatives, including search optimization, product presentation, and omni-channel recommendations.
  • Manage and develop team members, setting priorities, providing coaching, and fostering a high-performing work environment.
  • Utilize data analysis to inform decisions, support assortment planning, and implement continuous improvements across category operations.


What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in category strategy development and execution for moderately complex categories.
  • Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budget forecasting.
  • Expertise in supplier management and negotiation to drive price leadership and profitability.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
  • Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, performance evaluation, and development.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data analysis and digital tools to influence strategic initiatives.
  • Effective decision-making skills with a focus on customer-centric and omni-channel strategies.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
