Position Summary...
What you'll do...
The most senior People Leader role in Product Management below VP. Governs the product portfolio across multiple complex product families,driving enterprise-level strategic alignment, financial performance, and organizational capability at scale. Defines long-term vision and product
strategy by collaborating to develop corporate financial plans; identifying and facilitating disruptive innovation opportunities; approving business
cases; prioritizing and allocating resources. Accountable for multi-year product strategy, executive alignment, and building a world-class product
management organization.
Portfolio Strategy & Vision Leadership:
Defines long-term product vision and strategy for multiple complex product families by integrating business objectives, customer needs, market
conditions, and competitive trends.
Establishes strategic priorities, financial plans, and multi-year product objectives by synthesizing insights from customer behavior, operational data,
and enterprise priorities.
Approves business cases, resource allocation frameworks, and success metrics for major initiatives across the portfolio.
Shapes Walmart's competitive product positioning through market intelligence, innovation pipeline management, and strategic partnerships.
Product Portfolio Governance & Execution:
Oversees end-to-end portfolio development by guiding Directors and Senior Managers on roadmap creation, dependency management, and
technology integration.
Evaluates risks, architectural decisions, and downstream impacts to ensure feasibility and alignment to long-term enterprise strategy.
Drives the product discovery process to improve product success; creates guidelines for validation at different levels (product, problem, user).
Reviews and updates PM processes to formalize expectations; oversees MVP and final product rollout and scaling processes.
Cross-Functional & Executive Alignment:
Builds and maintains strategic relationships with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business units by communicating strategic choices and tradeoffs.
Aligns C-suite and executive leaders on prioritization decisions, customer needs, and investment direction through data-driven narratives and
strategic reviews.
Drives coordination across product families to ensure interoperability, scalable platform thinking, and shared success metrics.
Presents to leadership and organization-wide audiences, positioning arguments/data with well-structured stories; builds consensus in sensitive
situations.
Organizational Leadership & Capability Building:
Develops a world-class product organization by diagnosing capability gaps, leading talent planning, and enabling succession readiness at all levels.
Coaches Directors and Senior Managers in product strategy, execution rigor, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional leadership.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, ethical decision-making, and adherence to company standards and values.
Shapes the product management discipline, career framework, and competency standards for the enterprise.
Data, AI & Insight-Driven Decision Making:
Advances adoption of AI-powered product development practices, ensuring teams understand feasibility, risks, and customer value impacts.
Champions insight extraction and experimentation frameworks to drive evidence-based prioritization and optimize portfolio outcomes.
Drives responsible AI governance across the product portfolio; ensures ethical standards and risk mitigation in AI-powered capabilities.
Leads adoption of new and emerging technologies; assesses market to selectively adopt technologies and drive innovation. Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing
business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting
resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement
opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting,
selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and
existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all
programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading

The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00 - $370,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
