Role summary:The (USA) Data Analyst II plays a critical role in supporting business decision-making through comprehensive data analysis, quality management, and visualization. About the team:
The team supports Walmart’s Customer and W+ domain by driving data governance and ensuring data quality across key business areas. Members collaborate to identify data sources, assess data quality, and implement management practices that enhance accuracy and reliability. The group applies analytical techniques and visualization tools to deliver actionable insights, supporting business decisions. Working closely with stakeholders, the team promotes adherence to data policies and standards while continuously improving processes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to data strategy and quality initiatives that directly impact customer experience and operational excellence.
What you'll do:
- Analyze complex data sets to support business decision-making across multiple domains including finance, marketing, and technology.
- Identify and source relevant data, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using advanced tools to communicate insights effectively.
- Support data quality management by profiling, cleansing, and validating data in accordance with governance policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and present findings using clear, tailored communication techniques.
- Assist in the development and execution of analytical models to address business challenges.
- Mentor junior team members on data storytelling and visualization best practices.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in data analysis with strong knowledge of data governance, quality management, and metadata standards.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Python libraries, or R to create insightful dashboards and reports.
- Ability to apply statistical techniques and exploratory data analysis using SQL, Python, or similar tools to identify trends and support business decisions.
- Understanding of business domains including finance, marketing, and technology to align data insights with organizational goals.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to present data findings clearly to stakeholders and support decision-making.
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, profiling, cleansing, and data strategy implementation.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
