Position Summary...

The Analyst, Museum Operations role (Guest Services Supervisor) of The Walmart Museum is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring an exceptional visitor experience, and preserving the rich history of Walmart. This role involves managing staff, maintaining exhibits, assisting with the upkeep of the facility, and implementing strategies to enhance the museum's educational and cultural impact.

What you'll do...

  • Manage daily museum operations, including staff scheduling, facility maintenance, and exhibit support.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Oversee cash handling processes via daily cash reconciliation as well as weekly deposits to bank.
  • Address visitor inquiries, complaints, and emergencies promptly while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports and inventory to support efficient museum and retail functions.
  • Implement and monitor safety and emergency procedures to protect visitors, collections, and facilities.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with community stakeholders to support museum objectives.

Minimum Qualifications...
  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in museum studies, history, business administration or related area and 1 year’s experience working in museum operations.
  • Option 2: 2 years’ experience working in museum operations.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in operations, management, or other similar roles.
  • You have previous museum operations experience, hospitality, public speaking, people management, and public service.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
