Role summary:The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance and repair projects to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing third-party providers, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires effective communication with facility users, prioritizing work assignments, and implementing improvements to enhance sustainability and reduce costs. What you'll do:
- Operate and maintain exterior facility equipment, including snow removal and landscaping tools, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
- Manage and prioritize work assignments, develop budgets, and approve purchases for parts, materials, and supplies.
- Lead third-party providers by coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring quality assurance inspections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility user concerns, maintaining safe and compliant work environments.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, perform safety checks, and ensure proper documentation and insurance coverage.
- Implement sustainable facility upgrades and identify cost-saving improvements.
- Complete and submit required reports and documentation to leadership.
What you'll bring:
- Proven ability to manage departmental operations, including budgeting, purchasing, and project prioritization.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Experience operating and maintaining heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving customer issues effectively.
- Ability to lead third-party providers and conduct performance evaluations.
- Proficient in coordinating maintenance activities, including seasonal exterior services and vehicle upkeep.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethical conduct, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Valid, state-issued driver’s license.No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification at a minimum of a 90 day card.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
