What you'll do...
Role summary:The Manager, Specialty Compliance & Ethics – Product Compliance (Chemicals) advances the company’s product compliance program for chemical-based products, including products that are themselves chemicals or hazardous substances (e.g., cleaning products, agricultural products). This role ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including chemical restrictions, labeling, packaging, and disclosure requirements. The manager partners cross-functionally to operationalize regulatory requirements, drive continuous improvement, and maintain accurate compliance documentation. This position is ideal for an associate possessing backgrounds in chemistry (or related field) and is detail-oriented, analytical, and knowledgeable about chemical regulations and compliance processes for ingredients and finished chemical products.
About the team:
The Product Regulatory Compliance team serves as subject-matter experts supporting Walmart and Sam’s Club business, sourcing, and product development stakeholders. They provide guidance on regulatory affairs, monitor compliance programs, and communicate emerging product-related issues. Collaborating closely with leadership and partners, the team drives continuous improvement and effective execution of compliance strategies. Their work ensures adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements, protecting the company and maintaining stakeholder trust. The Product Regulatory Compliance team emphasizes accountability, research, and clear communication to manage compliance risks and uphold Walmart’s commitment to integrity and responsible business practices.
What you'll do:
- Manage compliance policy and procedure frameworks consistently by addressing questions, monitoring regulations, and updating policies with leadership input.
- Collaborate with senior managers to communicate compliance information and identify potential gaps, recommending strategic solutions.
- Lead legislation assessment efforts by researching proposed laws, evaluating business impacts, and developing adaptation plans.
- Oversee data management programs to track legislation and regulatory trends, supporting long-term forecasting and gap analyses.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory issues, managing research and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and development opportunities to associates, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Promote adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and integrity while supporting a positive workplace culture.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in compliance management and regulatory compliance within complex organizational environments.
- Strong ability to develop, update, and implement policies and standard operating procedures aligned with legal and ethical standards.
- Expertise in researching and interpreting laws, regulations, and policies to assess business impact and ensure adherence.
- Effective stakeholder management skills to collaborate with senior leadership and communicate compliance matters clearly.
- Demonstrated capability in identifying compliance risks, analyzing trends, and recommending strategic solutions.
- Excellent prioritization, adaptability, and communication skills to manage multiple initiatives and foster accountability.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
