The team leverages deep analytics to optimize Walmart’s spend, eliminating excess costs and safeguarding Every Day Low Prices for millions of families. They drive strategic sourcing and category management by identifying savings opportunities and managing supplier relationships. Utilizing advanced data analysis and financial acumen, the team supports informed decision-making and risk mitigation. Collaboration across functions ensures effective execution of business plans and continuous improvement. This group is committed to operational excellence, delivering value through negotiation, problem-solving, and innovative approaches that enhance cost efficiency and supplier performance in a dynamic retail environment.
What you'll do:
  • Drive execution of multiple procurement plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and removing obstacles to achieve business goals.
  • Lead and develop procurement associates through mentoring, performance management, and team-building initiatives.
  • Develop and implement category strategies, identifying savings opportunities and optimizing supplier selection based on data and market trends.
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct business reviews, and mitigate risks across complex supply chains.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and financial modeling to inform sourcing decisions and measure performance.
  • Lead negotiations and contract management to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in category strategy, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management within complex procurement environments.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to conduct advanced financial and data analysis to inform sourcing decisions and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams, mentoring associates, and driving performance through coaching and development.
  • Expertise in negotiation and contract management to mitigate risks and secure favorable terms.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through clear, data-driven communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Adaptability to evolving business needs and commitment to ethical standards and compliance.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 2: 6 years’ experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
