What you'll do...

Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics, leads the development and execution of compliance strategies for air compliance/mobile source emissions. This role involves monitoring EPA, DOT, and state county air/emission regulatory changes, conducting impact assessments, and advising leadership on compliance risks and opportunities. The position directs policy updates, manages data analysis and reporting, and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability. By collaborating across teams and providing guidance, the Senior Manager ensures adherence to laws, regulations, and company standards, supporting continuous improvement and ethical business practices aligned with Walmart’s values and operational goals.
About the team:
The team leads hazardous materials, DOT fleet, and air compliance programs across Walmart U.S. by transforming complex regulations into scalable processes, governance, and training. They assess risks, establish standards, and implement controls that protect the business while supporting operations and growth. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the team ensures regulatory compliance and drives continuous improvement through strategic oversight and clear communication. Their efforts uphold Walmart’s high standards of compliance and operational excellence within a dynamic regulatory environment, enabling the company to navigate challenges effectively and maintain business continuity.
What you'll do:
  • Direct compliance and ethics consistency by addressing inquiries, monitoring regulations, and updating policies with leadership input.
  • Lead research and analysis of laws, regulations, and policies to identify gaps and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Manage legislative assessment strategies, including forecasting regulatory trends and conducting impact analyses for senior leadership.
  • Oversee data management programs to catalog legislation and support predictive regulatory insights.
  • Drive execution of business plans by aligning priorities, removing obstacles, and measuring performance outcomes.
  • Promote adherence to company policies, ethics, and integrity standards through training and leadership example.


What you'll bring:
  • Proven expertise in governance, compliance strategy, and regulatory compliance within complex environments.
  • Ability to analyze compliance risks, interpret laws and regulations, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex compliance information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Proficiency in conducting data analysis, reporting findings, and advising senior leadership on compliance matters.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing regulatory landscapes, and drive continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
