What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Project Manager – Industrial Design & Construction Last Mile leads the design, development, and execution of strategic initiatives that expand and enhance Walmart’s pickup and delivery capabilities. This role oversees third-party consultants, manages project scope, schedule, and budgets, drives execution across multiple workstreams, and coordinates cross-functional efforts to ensure successful project delivery. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders and leadership to drive consistency, process improvements, and operational excellence while supporting strategic business initiatives. The role also serves as a subject matter expert, providing guidance across multiple projects ensuring projects align with company standards, timelines, and long-term operational goals.
About the team:
The Industrial Design & Construction Last Mile team is a collaborative, fast-moving group focused on delivering, growing and optimizing Walmart’s pickup and delivery network projects that support Walmart’s supply chain and retail operations. The team partners with internal business units, consultants, and leadership to manage complex development initiatives while driving consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Team members are encouraged to think creatively, solve problems proactively, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. With a strong focus on collaboration, operational excellence, and strategic execution, the APD team plays a key role in helping Walmart deliver convenient, reliable, and industry-leading omnichannel experiences.
What you'll do:
Lead design and development for strategic pickup and delivery initiatives from concept through implementation and operational handoff. Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams. Partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities, remove barriers, and ensure successful execution of program objectives. Facilitate leadership updates, analyze performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve processes, scalability, and operational effectiveness. Support key business initiatives as a team lead and subject matter expert while driving innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring:
Strong experience in industrial facility design, construction, program management, or site development. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Skilled in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and consultant oversight. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments. Experience leading process improvements, coordinating complex project initiatives, and presenting to leadership. Knowledge of industrial or warehouse development, automation-related projects, and operating facility environments preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent industry experience including Refrigeration. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years' experience in business, operations, analytics, or related area OR 6 years' experience in business, operations, analytics, or related area.2 years’ supervisory experience.
3 years’ project management experience.
