About the team:
The Merchandising Planning team plays a vital role in Consumables and Pantry by focusing on item-level and one-time buy planning. This team applies data-driven insights and financial forecasting to optimize inventory and category performance. Collaborating cross-functionally, they influence promotional strategies and ensure alignment with business goals. The team leverages analytical tools to assess trends, support decision-making, and drive financial outcomes. Committed to operational excellence, they continuously seek improvements to enhance customer value and contribute to the company’s success through strategic merchandise planning and effective category management.
What you'll do:
- Develop and execute merchandising plans using data-driven insights and financial forecasting to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align category forecasts, promotional strategies, and inventory management with customer demand.
- Analyze sales and financial data to identify opportunities and recommend actions that improve category performance and profitability.
- Monitor and report on category health, providing actionable insights to influence strategic decisions and budget planning.
- Guide and support team members in applying best practices and company policies to achieve operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging digital tools and fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in merchandising and category management with strong financial forecasting capabilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and leveraging business intelligence to drive informed decision-making.
- Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and developing financial strategies.
- Ability to influence feature and promotional planning using historical data and market insights.
- Skilled in demand planning and inventory management to optimize product availability and sales.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
