Role summary:As a Senior Intrusion Analyst, you will lead efforts to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber intrusions, ensuring robust protection of organizational assets. This role requires expertise in security operations, incident management, and cyber risk assessment to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies. You will collaborate across teams to enhance intrusion detection capabilities, drive continuous improvement of security protocols, and support data-driven analysis to identify emerging threats. Your contributions will be critical in maintaining a secure environment aligned with industry standards and organizational policies.
About the team:
The Walmart Security Operations Center (SOC) is a centralized unit dedicated to monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across Walmart’s global technology environment. The team employs advanced tools and frameworks to identify and mitigate risks, protecting critical assets. Members collaborate to enhance security protocols, analyze cyber incidents, and implement effective response strategies. The SOC focuses on continuous improvement through data-driven insights and adherence to established procedures, supporting Walmart’s commitment to maintaining a secure and resilient technology infrastructure worldwide.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and analyze intrusion detection systems to identify and respond to security threats promptly.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for intrusion management and incident response.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance cyber incident detection, containment, and recovery processes.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to cyber incidents.
- Lead cyber risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with organizational policies.
- Integrate data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive insights into security incidents.
- Drive continuous improvement of intrusion detection and cyber risk management techniques.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive knowledge of intrusion detection, prevention, and cyber incident response protocols.
- Proven experience in cyber risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and security operations center processes.
- Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and exploratory data analysis techniques.
- Ability to develop and implement incident management playbooks and cyber incident alert mechanisms.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate security risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging cyber threats.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to drive effective intrusion and risk management.
- Familiarity with drafting and reviewing security policies and standard operating procedures.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3years’ experience in intrusion analysis or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.Option 2: 5 years’ experience in intrusion analysis or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
