Position Summary...

Walmart is seeking a Senior Director, Cross Border Trade Compliance to lead the strategy and execution of trade compliance programs supporting Marketplace cross-border initiatives, third-party logistics oversight, and global cross-border shipping operations. In this role, you’ll guide a team driving B2B and B2C compliance initiatives worldwide, establishing governance, operating cadences, and scalable frameworks that advance the trade compliance roadmap. You’ll bring deep expertise across customs regulations and operations, import/export compliance, and small-parcel shipping to identify risks, align stakeholders, and deliver solutions in partnership with product, operations, supply chain, and analytics leaders. You’ll also foster a culture of integrity and accountability while developing talent and supporting responsible sourcing practices aligned to Walmart’s operational excellence and long-term sustainability goals.

What you'll do...

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic programs supporting trade compliance for marketplace cross border programs
  • Support trade compliance oversight for 3rd party logistics providers and cross border shipping operations
  • Lead a team responsible for Trade Compliance initiatives with a primary focus on B2B and B2C shipments worldwide
  • Fosters a culture of integrity and accountability while supporting talent development and resource planning to advance responsible sourcing practices that contribute to Walmart’s operational excellence and long-term sustainability goals

  • Broad range of functional competencies in strategic planning, stakeholder management, technology fluency, and organizational design.
  • Deep domain expertise that has been developed over time in multiple disciplines including customs regulations, customs operations, import/export trade compliance, and small parcel B2B and B2C shipments.
  • Demonstrated executive-level business acumen and strategic foresight, operating with agility to establish appropriate frameworks, governance models, and operating cadences that drive the trade compliance roadmap forward.
  • Ability to identify key risks, dependencies, and work with the requisite teams to put solutions in place that will achieve project outcomes
  • Skill engaging and communicating to senior executives across multiple domains to lead, build, and develop cross border strategy for broker services and other cross border trade programs as well as engaging at a detailed level across product management and operations, supply chain, and analytics.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 4 years’ supervisory experience. 5 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
