Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics – Pricing & Cost is a strategic leadership role responsible for advancing Walmart's Everyday Low Price (EDLP) and Everyday Low Cost (EDLC) strategies through data, analytics, and decision science. This role leads the development of pricing and cost decision frameworks, data capabilities, and scalable solutions that improve merchandising decisions across the enterprise. Partnering across business, product, engineering, and analytics teams, the leader will define vision, strategy, and execution priorities while translating complex business challenges into actionable outcomes. The role drives innovation, operational excellence, and enterprise value through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional leadership.
About the team:
The Merchandising Decision Sciences team applies data, analytics, and technology to solve enterprise challenges and enhance merchandising decisions. This team collaborates across business functions to align resources and strategic priorities, driving measurable value. As a Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics, you will lead the development of data assets and analytical frameworks that support pricing and cost strategies. The team focuses on creating scalable, transparent solutions that improve decision-making and accelerate innovation. By partnering with product, engineering, and analytics teams, the group shapes frameworks that underpin Walmart’s Everyday Low Price and Everyday Low Cost initiatives.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the development of pricing and cost decision capabilities that support Walmart's EDLP and EDLC strategies.
  • Define decision frameworks, business rules, KPIs, and measurement methodologies that enable scalable decision-making.
  • Build data assets, analytical frameworks, and AI-powered solutions that transform insights into actions and improve outcomes.
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations that influence strategy, investments, and operational priorities.
  • Partner across business, product, engineering, data science, and analytics teams to solve challenges and drive innovation.
  • Simplify processes, automate workflows, and establish governance practices that improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Influence stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and lead high-performing teams to deliver enterprise value while upholding Walmart's values and ethical standards.

What you'll bring:
  • Advanced experience in analytics, data visualization, and modern data technologies, including SQL, Python, GCP, Databricks, and BI platforms.
  • Strong expertise in data architecture, modeling, warehousing, governance, and quality management to build scalable, trusted data solutions.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable insights, decision frameworks, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, predictive analytics, optimization, and AI-driven decisioning to solve business problems.
  • Ability to anticipate emerging business needs and customer expectations to drive innovative solutions supporting EDLP and EDLC strategies.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and change management skills, with success operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
