Role summary:Walmart is seeking a Senior Analyst, Claims Litigation to manage complex workers’ compensation and general liability claims with a focus on litigation risk. About the team:
The Claims Management team conducts thorough investigations of bodily injury claims by collaborating with medical, legal, and investigative experts to determine claim origins and resolutions. The team manages case details, negotiates settlements, and ensures compliance with company policies and legal standards. Members work closely with stakeholders to support business goals while maintaining integrity and accountability. The team promotes professional growth through mentoring and fosters a respectful, ethical environment focused on continuous improvement and effective communication to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with organizational objectives.
What you'll do:
- Review initial claim reports to assess compensability and identify potential fraud indicators for escalation.
- Manage complex workers’ compensation and general liability claims, focusing on litigation and high-risk cases.
- Collaborate with leadership and counsel to establish claim value, strategy, and resolution paths.
- Oversee outside counsel to monitor litigation progress and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and present claims in reviews to refine strategy and secure settlement authority.
- Authorize payments and coordinate medical treatments while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Negotiate settlements directly with claimants or their representatives.
- Mentor associates on complex claims handling and litigation processes.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in managing complex workers’ compensation and general liability claims, including litigation oversight.
- Proficiency in litigation management, claims resolution, negotiation strategies, and legal discovery processes.
- Ability to review and analyze claim reports to determine compensability and identify potential fraud indicators.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal leadership, outside counsel, and claimants effectively.
- Expertise in establishing reserves, adjudicating claims within authority limits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated capability to mentor associates and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and 2 years’ experience in claims handling.Option 2: 4 years’ experience in claims handling, including experience with complex or litigated workers’ compensation or general liability claims.
Current or prior (within last 3 years) Property & Casualty Adjuster License.
