Role summary:As the Senior Manager, Finance, you will lead financial planning and analysis efforts, providing critical insights to guide business performance and strategic decision-making. This role involves managing complex control frameworks to mitigate financial risks, enhancing reporting transparency, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive operational excellence. You will oversee the development and execution of business plans, mentor and develop team members, and ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards. Your leadership will support continuous improvement and foster a high-performing environment aligned with Walmart’s commitment to integrity and customer value.
About the team:
The merch portfolio planning team leads long-range and annual merchandise operating plans, collaborating closely with finance to support execution across fuel, pricing, supply planning, replenishment, and wholesale trading. This team provides clear visibility into strategic planning and daily operations, enabling informed decision-making and effective financial management. Members contribute to forecasting, variance analysis, and process improvements while working with cross-functional partners. Joining this team offers the opportunity to influence key business outcomes and engage deeply with the financial aspects of merchandise planning at Sam’s Club.
What you'll do:
- Prepare financial analyses and models to support planning and recommend future expense targets.
- Manage control structures to mitigate financial risks and enhance reporting transparency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve financial processes and controls.
- Communicate financial results, forecasts, and variances to senior management with clear presentations.
- Drive execution of business plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and measuring progress.
- Lead, mentor, and develop associates, fostering a high-performing team environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and standards while promoting continuous improvement.
What you'll bring:

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience
i n accounting, finance, or related area.
1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
