Position Summary...
We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-oriented Senior Manager, Business Lending, to lead the development, launch, and scaling of innovative lending solutions for business customers and marketplace sellers. This leader will play a critical role in shaping our lending strategy, driving partner collaboration, and delivering seamless financing experiences that help businesses grow.This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong expertise in embedded finance, SMB lending, credit operations, partnerships, risk management, and product commercialization. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational rigor and thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, 0-to-1 environments.
What you'll do...
Lending Strategy & Product Development- Define and execute the business lending strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Lead the development and scaling of lending products including working capital, merchant cash advance, invoice financing, and seller financing solutions
- Identify customer pain points and translate them into innovative lending capabilities and experiences
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Operations teams to deliver scalable lending solutions
- Develop and manage relationships with banking partners, capital providers, fintech platforms, and lending infrastructure vendors
- Evaluate and negotiate commercial partnerships to support lending expansion and program economics
- Collaborate with external financial institutions and ecosystem partners to deliver embedded lending capabilities
- Own end-to-end program execution including roadmap planning, operational readiness, launch management, and post-launch optimization
- Establish scalable operating models, policies, workflows, and servicing frameworks
- Drive operational excellence across origination, underwriting, servicing, collections, and customer support processes
- Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure responsible lending practices and regulatory adherence
- Monitor portfolio performance, unit economics, loss trends, and business KPIs
- Develop frameworks to optimize approval rates, customer experience, portfolio quality, and profitability
- Leverage data-driven insights to improve customer acquisition, activation, retention, and lending utilization
- Partner with GTM, Adoption, and Marketing team to drive program growth
- Build business cases, financial models, and executive reporting for leadership reviews
- Identify opportunities to increase lending adoption and customer lifetime value
- 8+ years of working experience in the US in business lending, fintech, embedded finance, commercial banking, or related financial services
- Strong knowledge of SMB lending products, underwriting workflows, lending operations, and risk management
- Experience launching or scaling lending or embedded finance products in a fintech, marketplace, or banking environment
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from concept to commercialization
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing strategic partnerships and vendor negotiations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving, and highly collaborative environments
- Experience with marketplace platforms, seller ecosystems, or embedded financial services
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to lending, KYC/KYB, and financial compliance
- Experience working with bank partners, sponsor banks, or lending-as-a-service platforms
- Experience in product marketing of Financial Services is a plus
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred

San Bruno, California US-08848 | Sunnyvale, California US-08479: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-30003: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
