Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Senior Manager, Supplier to Serve –, is responsible for leading business specific Accounts Payable (AP) operations with a strong focus on operational excellence, data-driven decision making, and end-to-end process transformation. This role owns the health, performance, and continuous improvement of Accounts Payables processes, ensuring alignment to enterprise goals related to accuracy, cycle time, cost, and compliance. The Sr. Manager will drive automation and transformation initiatives, while partnering across Finance, Operations, Technology, Carriers, and Suppliers to deliver scalable, efficient, and high-quality AP outcomes. What you'll do:

Operational Performance & Health Metrics

  • Own and manage AP operational health metrics, including but not limited to:

  • Invoice exception cycle time and resolution

  • First-time match rate

  • Open receivings and aged disputes

  • Productivity, accuracy, and SLA adherence

  • Build and deliver robust reporting and insights that provide visibility into operational performance across stores, suppliers, and merchants.

  • Establish standardized KPI frameworks and dashboards to monitor trends, identify risks, and drive proactive decision-making.

  • Lead monthly/quarterly operational reviews with leadership and stakeholders to drive accountability and performance outcomes.

End-to-End Process Ownership

  • Provide end-to-end ownership of Accounts Payables processes, including but not limited to:

  • Invoice Exceptions

  • Open Receivings

  • WAVE, Transmittals,

  • Identify upstream and downstream dependencies and ensure seamless integration across Procure-to-Pay lifecycle.

  • Drive issue resolution by translating operational challenges into data-driven root cause analysis and actionable solutions.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion a culture of operational excellence, focused on:

  • Standardization

  • Process simplification

  • Quality and controls

  • Continuous improvement

  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability, aligning people, process, and technology.

  • Monitor adherence to compliance, audit, and SOX controls while improving overall process effectiveness.

Transformation & Automation Leadership

  • Lead and support AP transformation initiatives, including system modernization, automation, and workflow optimization.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through digital solutions, AI/automation, and process redesign.

  • Partner with Technology teams to define and deliver scalable, automated solutions that improve cycle time, accuracy, and cost efficiency.

  • Drive measurable outcomes such as:

  • Automation rates

  • FTE efficiency

  • Reduction in defects and rework

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Merchants, Supply Chain, Technology, Suppliers) to:

  • Understand business priorities and constraints

  • Align AP processes to support enterprise and operational objectives

  • Deliver solutions that improve supplier experience and business outcomes

  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating data insights into strategic recommendations for leadership.

Leadership & Execution

  • Lead teams in a high-performance, metrics-driven environment, ensuring clear accountability and ownership.

  • Drive execution of multiple initiatives simultaneously while removing barriers and managing risk.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable operations, Procure-to-Pay, or Back Office processes

  • Proven ability to lead operational performance through KPIs, reporting, and metrics management

  • Expertise in data analysis, root cause problem solving, and insight generation

  • Experience driving automation, large-scale transformation, or process improvement initiatives

  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional partners

  • High attention to accuracy, controls, and compliance (SOX/audit readiness)

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect operational execution to enterprise business goals

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
