Position Summary...
Join the Walmart U.S. EH&S Fire Code Team to support fire safety and fire code compliance programs for the world’s largest retailer. This individual contributor role helps reduce fire and regulatory risk across retail and/or supply chain facilities by partnering with business and technical teams to evaluate risk, develop controls, support training and awareness, and implement continuous improvement programs for fire and life safety needs.This position is on-site at our main campus in Bentonville, AR.
What you'll do...
- Coordinate with stakeholders to support implementation of fire safety initiatives; track actions, timelines, and deliverables.
- This role does not include direct people leadership; success is driven through influence, partnership, and program execution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support fire-related product attributes and proper storage practices.
- Support development and maintenance of fire and life safety program components (standards, guidance, training content, and communications).
- Support fire system and fire code-related projects by gathering requirements, maintaining documentation, and driving issue resolution through key business partners.
- Partner with facilities and field teams to help assess fire safety concerns and support mitigation plans.
- Support Real Estate / Facilities Services in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving fire code and fire protection system deficiencies.
- Develop and maintain reporting and analytics (dashboards, trends, recurring issues) to drive continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of fire safety and/or fire code principles (e.g., gained through engineering, inspection, enforcement, facilities, construction, or EH&S roles).
- Experience supporting projects or construction-related work (planning, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder follow-through).
- Risk-minded approach balances compliance needs with business priorities and timelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
- Background in fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent relevant experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in fire protection, health & safety, risk management, or related field or equivalent experience.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
