We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support large-scale distribution center (RDC) infrastructure and ambient facility projects. This role will focus on preparing existing facilities for advanced automation installation and commissioning, including demolition of existing racking, relocation of electrical and fire suppression systems, and coordination with Symbotic design & implementation teams.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience managing industrial facilities projects, strong technical expertise in electrical or mechanical engineering environments, and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across multiple active sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of multiple concurrent business plans and capital projects by identifying operational needs, developing project priorities, removing barriers to execution, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Oversee projects at approximately 10-15 active sites simultaneously, ensuring project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and milestones remain on track
- Lead design and construction activities in partnership with Architects of Record (AORs), Engineers of Record (EORs), and General Contractors (GCs) while coordinating with internal stakeholders across Supply Chain, Global Tech, Energy, and other business functions
- Coordinate closely with Construction Managers who serve as primary on-site project lead for infrastructure readiness and facility modifications
- Manage project workflows, establish standardized project management practices, and ensure all deliverables adhere to required approval and sign-off procedures
- Drive informed decision-making by identifying project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating status updates to leadership and key stakeholders
- Develop and manage project work plans, forecast resource requirements, monitor expenditures, and ensure alignment between project objectives and broader program goals
- Influence change management initiatives by educating stakeholders on new business processes, driving adoption, and building alignment across cross-functional teams
- Benchmark industry best practices and leverage data-driven methodologies to improve operational efficiency, sustainability, and execution consistency
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and ethical business practices while fostering collaboration and accountability across project teams
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and effective cross-functional partnership
Preferred Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience managing industrial facilities, distribution center, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering environments
- Experience managing complex construction, facility retrofit, or automation implementation projects
- Preferred familiarity with Walmart facilities and infrastructure operations
- Demonstrated ability to manage Architects, Engineers, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders effectively
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in fast-paced operational environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
