Position Summary...
The Group Director, Merchandising RX provides strategic leadership for a $50B business unit, owning category strategy, financial performance, supplier partnerships, and talent development. - Lead and develop teams: cultivate talent, teach, learn and grow with the team.
- Own category management strategy: Set the short- and long-term strategy.
- Drive financial planning: Support and review department-level forecasts; guide category financial forecasts and targets; provide direction on unit planning and forecast adjustments; advise on forecasts above department level.
- Lead supplier negotiations & governance: Maintain executive-level supplier relationships; optimize outcomes across multi-department suppliers; mitigation actions; approve payment terms and allowances; ensure adherence to recall/removal processes.
- Use data & digital tools to drive decisions: Leverage data for real-time decisions, hypothesis-driven testing, and a data-driven culture; conceptualize tech-enabled solutions and guide prototyping/testing; evaluate digital impact and drive process efficiencies/cost reductions; use visualization tools to tell clear, influential stories.
- Build a culture of integrity and continuous learning: Embed integrity and ethics into programs and practices; support Open Door; sponsor continuous learning and adaptability.
- Strengthen partnerships: Build internal/external networks to achieve business goals; engage stakeholders in planning and execution; sponsor community outreach and involvement initiatives.
- Proven leadership experience in merchandising, category management, or retail strategy, including leading managers and developing talent.
- Strong capability in financial forecasting, unit planning, and P&L/category performance management.
- Demonstrated success in supplier relationship management and executive-level negotiations, including contract/process governance.
- Working knowledge of replenishment performance and OTIF and how it informs merchant decisions.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $320,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
