About the team:
The team focuses on AI discovery, research, and designing algorithmic solutions to enhance operational efficiency in Walmart US stores. It excels in rapid prototyping of machine learning, agentic AI, and simulation models. Team members leverage expertise in data science, predictive analytics, and data visualization to develop impactful solutions. Collaborating across functions, the team translates business needs into scalable, data-driven strategies. Emphasizing continuous learning and innovation, it delivers measurable improvements in store operations and customer experience, supporting Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and advanced technology integration.
What you'll do:

• Develop, test, and deploy advanced machine learning models and data-driven solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze complex business problems to identify root causes and recommend effective technology-focused approaches.
• Lead data source identification, ensuring data quality and suitability for analytical modeling.
• Design and implement data visualization strategies to communicate insights clearly to various stakeholders.
• Mentor team members on modeling techniques, data interpretation, and best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into scalable data science initiatives.
• Monitor model performance, conduct validation, and ensure sustainable deployment and lifecycle management.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and advanced statistical analysis to develop and deploy scalable data science solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, SQL, and Java, with strong coding and testing capabilities.
• Expertise in data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate complex insights to varied stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of business domains and ability to translate business requirements into actionable data strategies.
• Proven leadership skills in mentoring and guiding teams, fostering continuous learning and innovation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS SageMaker for model deployment and lifecycle management.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
