Position Summary...
The Director, Operations, will lead the operational strategy and execution for Walmart Health & Wellness payer initiatives. This role partners closely with Strategy, Modeling, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate annual operating plan (AOP) priorities into scalable processes, measurable performance, and sustained operational excellence. What you’ll do- Operational Strategy & Execution: Partner with Directors and Senior Directors to develop and implement payer operational plans. Align payer processes to Health & Wellness and Walmart enterprise goals (growth, cost reduction, efficiency).
- Process Optimization & Efficiency: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks across payer teams and implement improvements. Drive payer-related AI and digital transformation initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between strategy and execution teams to accelerate delivery.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Report departmental and team performance to the leadership team with clear insights and actions.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure operations comply with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Technology & Systems Implementation: Evaluate and deploy tools for automation, analytics, and workflow management.
- Scaling & Growth Initiatives: Build scalable systems and processes that support growth.
- Proven leadership in operations, program execution, and process optimization in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Experience building KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance management rhythms.
- Demonstrated success standardizing workflows and driving operational excellence (Lean/Six Sigma preferred).
- Strong cross-functional influence across compliance, legal, finance, HR, IT, and commercial teams.
- Experience implementing enterprise systems and leading vendor performance management.
- Ability to translate strategy into execution, including planning cycles (AOP/long-range planning).
- Strong risk management mindset, including business continuity planning.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
